Short version: Snap does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. All game data — scores, streaks, XP, friend feed, daily checks — is stored only on your device and never leaves it. We do not use any analytics, ad, or tracking SDK.
Snap: Quiz Battles is developed and published by Vector0. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at vectorxlabs@gmail.com.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
a) Local device storage (stays on your device)
Your game progress — including XP, level, streak, daily-check history, lifetime accuracy, total games played, your auto-generated handle, and the LIVE rivals you face — is saved using your device's local storage (Apple's @AppStorage / UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
b) Sign in with Apple (optional)
If you tap "Sign in with Apple" from the Profile tab, Apple returns a permanent user identifier and (on first sign-in only) the display name you authorized. Both values are stored only in your device's local storage so your real name can appear on the leaderboard. We do not run a server; the identifier never leaves your device. Apple itself may log the sign-in event under its own privacy policy — see Apple's Privacy Policy.
c) Analytics
Snap does not currently integrate any analytics, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDK. We do not know how many games you have played, which questions you answered, or when you last opened the app. If this ever changes in a future version, this section will be updated and the change called out in the App Store release notes before it ships.
Because no data leaves your device, we cannot use it for anything. All "use" happens locally on your device for the purpose of running the game: tracking your streak, awarding XP, ordering the leaderboard, and personalizing the home screen greeting.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or third-party marketing services.
The app integrates only the following Apple-provided framework:
No advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, analytics SDKs, or data broker integrations are used.
Local game data persists on your device until you delete the app. To erase all locally stored data, uninstall Snap; iOS will remove its sandbox including all @AppStorage values, your Sign in with Apple credential reference, and the friend feed cache. Reinstalling starts you from a fresh state with a new auto-generated handle.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also revoke Snap's access at any time from iOS Settings → Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Snap.
Snap is a general-audience trivia game. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal information from any users, the app is safe for all ages in this regard. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at vectorxlabs@gmail.com.
All game data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security mechanisms (passcode, Face ID, etc.). We do not transmit this data over the internet. The Sign in with Apple flow is end-to-end secured by Apple between your device and Apple's identity servers.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California). Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, most of these rights are satisfied by default. If you have questions or requests, contact us at vectorxlabs@gmail.com.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and call out the change in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces it. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
