Privacy Policy

Short version: Grid Glide does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. Game data (scores, streaks, settings) is stored only on your device and never leaves it. We use Firebase Analytics solely to understand how the app is used in aggregate.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Your name, email address, or any account credentials
Your location data
Your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
Payment or financial information
Any user-generated content

3. Information That Is Collected

a) Local device storage (stays on your device)

Your game progress — including high scores, current streak, best word, and app settings — is saved using your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

b) Analytics (aggregate, non-personal)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used at a high level — for example, how many games are started per day or how often a word combo is reached. Firebase may collect:

A randomized device identifier (not linked to your identity)
App interaction events (e.g. game started, word found)
Device type and operating system version

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We cannot identify you from it. Firebase Analytics is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use This Information

The analytics data described above is used exclusively to:

Understand which features players enjoy
Identify and fix crashes or performance issues
Improve future versions of the app

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or third-party marketing services.

5. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party SDK:

Google Firebase Analytics — aggregate usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Information

No advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, or data broker integrations are used.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local game data persists on your device until you delete the app or use the in-app deletion option. To erase all locally stored data, go to Settings → Delete All Data inside the app. This action is immediate and irreversible.

Analytics data retained by Firebase follows Google's standard retention policies. We do not have the ability to delete individual analytics records because they are not linked to any personal identifier.

7. Children's Privacy

Grid Glide is a general-audience word game. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal information from any users, the app is safe for all ages in this regard. 8. Data Security

All game data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security mechanisms (passcode, Face ID, etc.). We do not transmit this data over the internet. Analytics data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California). 10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
